Staying Together
Brothers, Juan, age 10 and Diego, age 8 would be in the foster care system had they not been adopted, probably separated from each other and their 2 younger brothers. They agree to talk about their new home at Bridge Meadows. Juan says it is good to know that he won't be moving again because he had to move a lot before. He's happy he and his family have a real house of their own. "I like things we do here, like going to the Park with the Grandmas for lunch and play time. We got to go on a canoe ride on the river."
"Grandma Lynda took us cherry picking far away from here. Diego interrupts "We brought cherries back for everyone!" Juan continues, "It's fun to do crafts and listen at story time with friends." Diego says, "I like having new friends. We have a place to ride scooters and bikes and play games like BeyBlades. You don't know it? I'll show you!" He brings the game and explains how to play. Juan, Diego and Juanita (an 88 year-old grandma at Bridge Meadows) play BeyBlades together.
