Elders (55+)

Bridge Meadows recognizes that engaged and motivated elders are a critical component of an intergenerational community. Elders (age 55 & over) in this innovative community are seen as surrogate grandparents or mentors, providing support and nurturance to children, while the adoptive families are seen as "grandparent helpers", supporting elders in living a vibrant life.

As a surrogate grandparent, your contribution to this collaborative community can occur in a variety of ways - homework helper, computer lab tutor, mentor, babysitter, gardener or teacher of a variety of subjects (cooking, arts & crafts, sports, dance). The possibilities surrounding your contribution to the Bridge Meadows community are unlimited.

Our community is comprised of 27 affordable housing apartments for elders and welcomes older adults who'd love to get involved.
